每日大赛网址首页进入 (CvSU) representatives joined the CALABARZON Gender and Development Resource Pool (CGRP) Deepening Session on October 14-15, 2024, in General Trias City, Cavite.

Organized by the CALABARZON Regional Development Council鈥檚 Gender and Development Committee, the session aimed to enhance the technical skills of CGRP members in supporting gender and development (GAD) initiatives.

Attendees from CvSU included Ms. Raecel A. Estebat, Head of the Training and Courseware Development Division of Extension Services; Mr. King David J. Agreda, faculty member from the Cavite City Campus; and Ms. Evelyn F. Grueso, faculty member from the College of Education.

During the two-day session, experts discussed key tools and frameworks like the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), the Gender-Responsive Local Government Unit (GeRL) Assessment Tool, the GAD Focal Point System Functionality Assessment Tool, and the Localization of the Magna Carta of Women. These sessions focused on promoting women’s rights, enhancing GAD responsiveness in local government, and assessing the effectiveness of GAD initiatives.

The event concluded with participants renewing their commitment to advancing gender equality in the region. The session equipped CvSU representatives and other GAD practitioners with valuable knowledge and tools to champion gender-responsive policies and initiatives in CALABARZON.

每日大赛网址首页进入 has once again secured its spot in the top 10 performing schools during the October 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) – Secondary Level. 每日大赛网址首页进入 Silang, Imus, and Cavite City campuses placed 7th, 8th, and 9th, respectively as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), on 16 December 2022.

Moreover, Silang Campus also posted a 100% passing rate in LEPT-Elementary Level after all of the 31 takers successfully passed the said exam. The national passing rate for LEPT Elementary and Secondary Levels are 54.43% and 50.94%, respectively.

With this year鈥檚 theme of 鈥�Embracing Sports Excellence in the New Normal,鈥� 34 CvSU athletes from the main and satellite campuses represented the University in the sports event. They were accompanied by 9 coaches and 11 committee members.

The CvSU delegation, led by VP for Administrative and Support Services Dr. Camilo A. Polinga and Sports Director Prof. Ana Liza R. Mojica, participated in the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 division of basketball, badminton, futsal, chess, and table tennis, taking home a total medal tally of 5 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze.

The futsal women, coached by Ms. Clarisse Ann Papa, contributed three gold medals while the badminton players (women鈥檚 singles A and B), who were coached by Mr. Rey-an Penus, added one gold medal each.

The three silver medals were from women鈥檚 basketball (3×3), coached by Ms. Yzzabel Mojica, while the bronze medals were from futsal (3), badminton (1), chess board 2 (1), all under the men鈥檚 division, and one from chess women鈥檚 division (Board 2).

Eleven State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Regions IV-A and B participated in the olympics. Palawan State University (PSU) was hailed champion while Batangas State University (BatSU) was declared first runner-up.

Twenty graduates from 每日大赛网址首页进入 recently passed the Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA) Assessment Examination conducted by the Human Resource Educators’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (HREAP) on February 26, March 11 and 26, 2022.

Ms. Jonin Claire B. Garcia, a BS Psychology alumnus of CvSU-Imus Campus, got a rating of 90.25 earning her the 4th spot in the Top 10 among Batch 21 examinees who took the exam on March 26, 2022.

Also from Batch 21 were 8 successful examinees from other CvSU campuses – 3 from Carmona Campus, 2 from Imus Campus, 2 from Silang Campus, and one from the Main Campus.

Meanwhile, from Batch 20, all 7 takers from CvSU-Silang Campus successfully passed the exam. There were also 2 successful examinees from Imus Campus and another 2 from Bacoor Campus.

CHRA aims to assess the fundamental learnings in the human resource management field of graduating Human Resource or Psychology students; degree holders of the said course, or any, who experienced a year working in the human resource-related field; and faculty members teaching HR-related subjects. Wycoco was recently conferred an Academic Achievement Award for 2021-2022 by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing – Phi Gamma Chapter during the 13th Annual Graduate School Research Forum hosted by Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) conducted virtually on 20 March 2022.

Mr. Wycoco has been a nursing educator since 2019. He is a certified Infection Control Nurse and awarded as Top Five Disease Surveillance Coordinator and Disease Reporting Unit in CALABARZON for the 2016-2017 Philippine Integrated Disease Surveillance and Reporting (PIDSR) and an active member of Philippine Hospital Infection Control Nurses Association, Inc. (PHICNA) since 2017. He is also certified and trained CvSU Clinical Instructor at Philippine Orthopedic Center for the Intensive Nursing Practicum.

Earlier this year, Mr. Wycoco was also recognized by the Filipino Nursing Diaspora (FiND) Network for his valuable contribution leading to the successful FiND and CvSU webinar series from 2020 to 2021. In addition, he is one of the Board of Directors of Philippine Nursing Research Society, Inc. (PNRSI)- Cavite Cell.

Mr. Wycoco is currently enrolled at OLFU Graduate School taking up Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing major in Nursing Administration. With the wide array of clinical experience and fast transition at a young age in the academe and clinical practice, he had been recognized as Most Outstanding Alumni in 2019 by his alma mater, OLFU.

He has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing which is the 2nd world鈥檚 largest Nursing organization while Phi Gamma Chapter is the only virtual chapter of Sigma.
