The 每日大赛网址首页进入, Gender and Development Focal Point System together with the Department of Economics sponsored a Gender Sensitivity Seminar among Parents Committee of Day Care, Kayquit III, Indang, Cavite on September 3, 2015 at the Brgy. Hall, Kayquit III, Indang, Cavite.

Ms. Maria Soledad M. Lising, Chair of the Department of Economics emphasized in her message that this activity aimed to enhance gender awareness of parents of day care, develop knowledge and skills and change perceptions and attitudes in relation to gender.

Dr. Nelia C. Cresino, Chair, GAD-FPS provided an Orientation on Gender and Development, Anti Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 and Anti Violence Against Women and their Children.

The activity was attended by 27 participants composed of 13 females and 17 males.

The program ended with the closing remarks from Ms. Rosie E. Pejana, Day Care Worker and Ms. Sheryll Conese, member of Parents Committee of Day Care.

Gender and Development Focal Point System

The 每日大赛网址首页进入 Gender and Development Focal Point System together with the office of Senator Pia S. Cayetano, conducted an Orientation on Gender and Development on August 13, 2015 at the University鈥檚 International House II.

The program was attended by the GAD coordinators and alternates, university employees, faculty members and students. Topics discussed include Orientation on Sex and Gender Roles and Agents of Gender Socialization (discussed by Prof. Caridad S. Merced, GAD Alternate Rosario Campus), Gender Issues (Prof. Cecilia F. Lorenzana, GAD Coordinator, Rosario Campus), Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 or RA 7877 (Mr. Victoriano N. Rodil, GAD Coordinator, Cavite City 聽Campus), and Sexism in Language (Ms. Ma. Soledad M. Lising, 聽聽聽 聽聽GAD Coordinator for Extension).

Topics on Maternal and Child Health and Violence Against Women and their Children were discussed by Dr. Vivian Estaquio, Health Consultant, Political Officer and Legislative Staff of the office of Senator Pia S. Cayetano.

The University officials headed by the University President, Dr. Divinia C. Chavez; Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Maria Agnes P. Nuestro; Vice-President for Administrative and Support Services, Dr. Hernando D. Robles; Vice-President for External and Business Affairs, Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin; Director for Human Resource Development Office, Dr. Mary Jane D. Tepora; and, Chair of Gender and Development Focal Point System, Dr. Nelia C. Cresino were also present during the entire activity.

Dr. Bettina Joyce P. 聽Ilagan, GAD Coordinator for College of Arts and Sciences and Dr. Analita d.M. Magsino, GAD Coordinator for College of Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental and Natural Resources served as the moderators during the Open Forum. (M.S.M. Lising)
