Seminar on Gender Sensitivity and Anti-Violence Against Women聽and their Children among Parents/Guardian of Day Care聽Students of Jose Lallana Child Development Center
The 每日大赛网址首页进入, Gender and Development Focal Point System together with the Department of Economics conducted a Seminar on Gender Sensitivity and Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children among parents/guardian of Day-Care students of Jose Lallana Child Development Center, Trece Martires City, Cavite on July 21, 2016 at the Covered Court, Jose Lallana, Trece Martires City, Cavite. The activity was attended by 44 participants composed of 39 females and 5 males.
Mr. Rogelio Lopez, President, Parents Federation Officer (1stBatch) emphasized that being an officer is accompanied with responsibility and to fulfill the duties to the parent鈥檚 federation, the seminar was requested. He also hoped that the seminar will be fruitful.
Ms. Maria Soledad M. Lising, Chair of the Department of Economics, discussed the Orientation on Gender and Development. A video clip entitled 鈥淚mpossible Dream鈥� was presented to give deeper understanding on gender issues specially economic marginalization and multiple burden.
Ms. Shirlyn M. Rom, Staff, GAD-FPS, provided the lecture on Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children. She discussed the forms of violence such as physical, psychological, emotional, economic and sexual abuse. She emphasized that violence against women and their children is classified as a public crime.
Ms. Teresita C. Leachon, Child Development Worker of Jose Lallana Child Development Center expressed her appreciation to the University, the GAD Focal Point System, and the Department of Economics for extending their services to them and also to the parents who spend time in spite of their busy schedule.
Seminar on Palibhasa鈥檡 Guro: Realities and Expectations
The Office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Gender and Development Focal Point System, Faculty and Staff Development Office and CvSU Faculty Association sponsored a two-day seminar on Palibhasa鈥檡 Guro: Realities and Expectations on July 19-20, 2016 at CvSU S.M. Rolle Hall. It was attended by 72 male and 160 female faculty members. The NAEA officers (8) also joined the activity.
The activity aimed to increase level of awareness on the Code of Ethics for CvSU faculty; increase capability in handling student misconduct and misdemeanors; increase level of knowledge on scholarship opportunities and responsibilities; and increase level of awareness on gender issues among educators and students.

Dr. Rhodora S. Crizaldo (VPAA) welcomed the participants and expressed her delight seeing the academic workforce in one big gathering. Dr. Hernando D. Robles (VPASS) read the inspirational message of the University President. Faculty Association President Noel A. Sedigo reiterated the importance of the seminar in his message.
Ms. Eliza Dionco-Rodolfo, author of the book 鈥淏uhay Guro鈥� and the keynote speaker talked about the life of teachers with enthusiasm and gusto to the delight of all attendees.

Day 2 was highlighted by a one-hour Zumba Dance Fitness led by Mr. Ronnel Cuachin and two invited Zumba instructors.
Dr. Mary Jane D. Tepora closed the program by expressing her gratitude to the Faculty Association who spearheaded the event, to all the speakers who shared their learning and insights, and to all the 聽offices who contributed funds for its successful implementation.
