The ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÖ·Ê×Ò³½øÈë (CvSU) – Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) conducted a workshop and consultation titled “Capacity Building on GADTimpala: Preparing SUCs for Gender-Responsive Recognition” on September 2, 2025, via video conferencing.

The workshop primarily aims to capacitate the participants on the provisions of Philippine Commission on Women-Commission on Higher Education Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2025-02 and its implications for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), while enhancing their knowledge and skills in applying the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF). It seeks to guide CvSU GADTimpala Committee in the preparation and packaging of institutional documentation for the Gender and Development Transformation Institutionalization through Mainstreaming of Programs, Agenda, Linkages and Advocacies (GADTimpala), highlighting CvSU’s best practices, enabling mechanisms, and gender-responsive programs, and strengthen the roles and capacities of the CvSU GADTimpala Committee in sustaining gender mainstreaming initiatives.

The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Jhamie Tetz Infante-Mateo, a distinguished member of the National Gender and Development (GAD) Resource Pool Batch 2. During her presentation, Dr. Infante-Mateo provided a comprehensive review of ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÖ·Ê×Ò³½øÈë’s previous submissions related to the specified document. She highlighted the university’s notable strengths, emphasizing key areas where it earned high points and met the standards effectively. Additionally, she identified specific entries that require further enhancement and underscored existing gaps that must be addressed. These insights aim to guide the university in refining its future submissions and strengthening its overall approach for the next application cycle. (by Lynnette M. Tecson)
