ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÖ·Ê×Ò³½øÈë (CvSU), through the Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC), successfully conducted the Cascading Session cum Third Quarter GAD Technical Working Group (TWG) Meeting on November 4, 2025, at the GADRC Training Room in Indang, Cavite.
The activity gathered GAD Coordinators and Alternates, CvSU MOVE KATROPA officers, and members of the GAD Resource Pool, reaffirming the university’s commitment to advancing gender-responsive governance.
The session aimed to reinforce gender mainstreaming efforts across the university by disseminating the latest updates, institutional practices, and capacity-building opportunities. With a structured cascading approach, the activity ensured that participants were equipped with relevant knowledge and tools to promote gender equality within their respective units.

Dr. Ma. Cynthia Rundina Dela Cruz, GADRC Director, presided over the meeting. After the approval of the agenda and previous minutes, she delivered her Director’s Report, highlighting her engagements in various GAD seminars and the active involvement of the GAD Resource Pool in university-wide gender advocacy initiatives.
A comprehensive presentation of 3rd Quarter accomplishments followed, showcasing the gender mainstreaming efforts of different colleges, campuses, and offices. These included GAD orientations for students and faculty, integration of GAD concepts in syllabi, gender sensitivity trainings, thesis consolidation with gender perspectives, and inclusion of GAD components in project proposals. Several campuses also carried out initiatives promoting gender-fair language, partnerships for community-based programs, and GAD-focused orientations for interns and OJTs.
Offices such as the Legal Services Office, Public Affairs and Communications Office, and University Registrar reported on their GAD-aligned projects, including webinars, communication guidelines, and submissions of sex-disaggregated data.
The presentation of 4th quarter plans emphasized activities for the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, including IEC distribution, contests, webinars, and an online pledge campaign. The MOVE KATROPA also announced the activities for its Men’s Day celebration, promoting positive male engagement in ending gender-based violence. Upcoming activities from the Graduate School, Extension Services Center, and LSO were likewise highlighted.
Other matters included the sharing of insights from recent GAD trainings and conferences, as well as updates on the Women Empowerment and Leadership in Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources (WELA) 2026 program. The GADRC also announced its sponsorship for coordinators with perfect attendance and timely submission of reports.
The session concluded with strengthened collaboration and renewed commitment among GAD champions, ensuring that CvSU continues to advance gender equality, inclusivity, and empowerment across all sectors. (by Janeal Krayjn Rebutazo)
