每日大赛网址首页进入 (CvSU), through its Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC) headed by Dr. Ma. Cynthia Rundina- Dela Cruz, successfully conducted the kick-off of the 2025 18-Day Campaign to End VAW with its first activity titled 鈥淩un to End VAW鈥 on November 25, 2025, at the CvSU Oval.

The university-wide activity was actively participated by employees and students from various colleges and offices. To promote inclusivity and encourage wider engagement, the run featured three participation categories: female, male, and LGBTQIA+. The event began with a simple warm-up session to prepare the participants physically, ensure their safety, and energize them before proceeding with the run.

Dr. Rundina-Dela Cruz, formally opened the program by highlighting the importance of continuously fostering a safer, more equitable, and gender-responsive community. She emphasized CvSU鈥檚 unwavering commitment to promoting a secure environment where respect, dignity, and protection are upheld, reaffirming the University鈥檚 dedication to ending violence against women and children through sustained advocacy and collective action.

The ceremonial Statement of Commitment to End VAW was collectively presented by Dr. Cristina M. Signo, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension; Dr. Mary Jane D. Tepora, Vice President for Planning and Development; and Dr. Almira G. Magcawas, Vice President for Business and Resource Generation. Their unified message reinforced the University鈥檚 dedication to fostering a violence-free community, demonstrating strong institutional support and leadership in advancing gender equality, safeguarding the rights of women and children, and promoting a culture of respect and protection across all sectors of the University.

On behalf of Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, University President, the Pledge of Commitment to End VAW was delivered by Dr. Signo. Through this pledge, the University reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a culture of respect, safety, and accountability in all sectors of the institution.
The activity then proceeded with the awarding ceremony where winners of the Run to End VAW from each participation category were recognized for their outstanding performance and enthusiastic involvement.
To formally close the program, Ms. Ellaine P. Soringa, GAD Coordinator of the Legal Services Office, delivered the closing message on behalf of Atty. Ross Camille P. Salazar-Talledo. In her remarks, she emphasized the continuing mandate to combat violence against women and children, urging everyone to remain advocates of protection, equality, and empowerment. She encouraged all participants to help cultivate a safer, more equitable environment鈥攐ne where every individual can live freely, without fear, harm, or violence. (by Lynnette M. Tecson)
