ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÖ·Ê×Ò³½øÈë (CvSU) once again brought pride and honor to the institution after being recognized by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) as one of the government entities that demonstrated exceptional commitment in allocating and utilizing its 2024 Gender and Development (GAD) Budget to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The PCW commended CvSU for its consistent efforts in advancing gender-responsive governance and acknowledged the University’s outstanding performance in implementing its GAD programs, projects, and activities.
In recognition of this achievement, the PCW invited CvSU to attend a recognition gathering of agencies that excelled in the 2024 GAD Budget implementation. Dr. Ma. Cynthia Rundina-Dela Cruz, Director of the Gender and Development Resource Center, and Mr. King David J. Agreda, NGRP Batch 9 member and President of MOVE KATROPA, received the said award during the event held on September 25, 2025.
CvSU garnered notable rankings under two major categories:
Rank 2: State University and College (SUC) with the Highest Client-Focused GAD Budget Allocation
Rank 10: State University and College (SUC) with the Highest Organization-Focused GAD Budget Allocation
These distinctions affirm CvSU’s continuing leadership and unwavering dedication to ensuring that gender equality and inclusivity remain integral components of institutional development. The University’s GAD initiatives reflect strong alignment with national efforts to empower women and promote equitable participation across all sectors.
The PCW expressed confidence that this recognition will further inspire CvSU to sustain its momentum and continue strengthening its gender-responsive programs and budgetary practices in the years ahead.
