ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÖ·Ê×Ò³½øÈë (CvSU) was honored with the Executive Director’s Award for Excellence in Technology Commercialization of Patents and Utility Models during the Partners’ Night of the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Summit Week 2025 held on October 13, 2025 at Hotel Casiana, Tagaytay City, Cavite.
The Partners’ Night sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST – PCAARRD) highlighted the outstanding achievements of 94 State Universities and Colleges and Research and Development Institutes implementing a total of 149 RAISE projects nationwide.
Through the CvSU Knowledge Management Center – Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) Division, led by Dr. Teddy F. Tepora, the university was also recognized as a finalist for the Top Revenue in Technology Commercialization for Non-Patent and Non-Utility Model Award.
The RAISE Southern Tagalog program likewise received recognition as a finalist for both the Best Regional RAISE Implementer Award and Best Regional RAISE Video Award. The regional video was developed by the Regional Knowledge Management (KM) Team, led by Dr. Lloyd O. Balinado, Project Leader, and Ms. Christine Polyanna Zabariza, Project Technical Assistant III. The DOST – Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI), one of the implementing agencies under Southern Tagalog, was also recognized as a finalist for Outstanding ATBI – Basic and Advanced Category.
The awards were received by Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, CvSU President and RAISE Southern Tagalog Advisory Council Chairperson, together with Dr. Teddy F. Tepora (RAISE Southern Tagalog Program Leader), Dr. Almira G. Magcawas (STAARRDEC Executive Director), Mr. Rodell Papa (RAISE Southern Tagalog Assistant Program Leader), Engr. Gee Jay C. Bartolome (Regional Agribusiness Hub Project Leader), Ms. Rowena R. Noceda (Regional ATBI Project Leader), and Dr. Balinado (Regional KM Project Leader).
CvSU currently implements four major RAISE projects—the IPTBM, Regional Agribusiness Hub, Regional Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator (ATBI), and Regional KM Hub. As the Regional Lead for Southern Tagalog, CvSU oversees and supports technology commercialization efforts across 11 partner agencies, contributing significantly to PCAARRD’s goal of strengthening agri-aqua innovation ecosystems.
