The 每日大赛网址首页进入 (CvSU) community gathered to commemorate the institution鈥檚 120 years of legacy of resilience 鈥 highlighting its mission to continuously empower more lives and communities from here and beyond.
Centered on the theme 鈥淎SCEND with Truth, Integrity, Excellence, and Service: The Heart of CvSU鈥檚 120-year Legacy,” University officials, faculty members, students, alumni, partners, and stakeholders come together in various activities slated on January 28-29, 2026.
The celebration kicked off with the ecumenical thanksgiving mass and the traditional wreath laying ceremony led by officials and the heirs of Don Severino de las Alas 鈥 an educator, public servant, and philanthropist who donated a portion of his land for the establishment of an intermediate school now known as CvSU.
During the opening program, CvSU President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro delivered her first State of the University Address where she highlighted the University鈥檚 accomplishments and continuing efforts to achieve its CvSU ASCEND: 2025-2028 Strategic Framework focusing on transformational leadership, competent and committed workforce, administrative efficiency, and financial sustainability.聽
The 2025 goal for Institutional Transformation and Recognition is part of the four-year IDEAL Plan: Inclusive and Accessible Education; Dynamic and Competitive Research and Innovation; Empowered Communities and Stronger Partnership; Accountable and Client-Centered Governance; and Long-Lasting Sustainable Resource Generation.聽
In her message, Dr. Nuestro emphasized how the celebration affirms the University鈥檚 enduring commitment to quality education and nation-building guided by its core values of Truth, Integrity, Excellence, and Service.聽
鈥淔or 120 years, CvSU has stood as a beacon of knowledge and service, empowering individuals and strengthening society. As we look back with gratitude and forward with determination, may this celebration remind us that CvSU鈥檚 true legacy lies in the lives it has touched,鈥 Dr. Nuestro said.聽
The 120th Founding Anniversary celebration also honored the notable contributions and unwavering commitment to academic excellence and public service of CvSU employees, students, retirees, and partner agencies during the annual Gawad Laya at Diwa and Partners鈥 Recognition Day.
Meanwhile, as part of the efforts to promote employees鈥 wellness and engagement, the academic and non-academic staff from the main and satellite campuses participated in the Employees鈥 Star Olympics, zumba session, wellness day activities, and mini-concert.聽
Guests, students, and employees were also welcomed to the CvSU Agri-Eco Tourism Park, CvSU Historical and Cultural Museum, and other University sites during the Open House Visit.
Lastly, the members of the Administrative Council led the blessing of newly-constructed school buildings including the Boys鈥 Dormitory; the Food Processing Building of the College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources; and the STAR Building.聽
